Senior Quality Technician (Turbomachinery)

What you will do

• Design and develop turbomachinery components and assemblies, including compressors, turbines, pumps, expanders, and supporting systems.
• Support machinery development from conceptual and detail design through manufacturing, assembly, testing, and field support.
• Collaborate with aerodynamics, structural analysis, rotordynamics, manufacturing, test engineering, clients, and project managers.
• Lead, mentor, and guide a small team of mechanical design engineers and CAD personnel.
• Review drawings, CAD models, bills of materials, engineering changes, and design documentation.
• Support troubleshooting, root-cause investigations, proposals, technical planning, and product data management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering experience.
• At least 10 years of mechanical design experience, including at least 3 years in turbomachinery design.
• Strong understanding of rotating equipment such as turbines, compressors, pumps, or similar machinery.
• Proficiency in GD&T according to ANSI Y14.5 and significant experience with 2D and 3D CAD modeling.
• Experience creating and reviewing detailed manufacturing drawings and using PDM systems.
• Ability to lead and mentor engineers, manage multiple technical priorities, and communicate effectively.

Nice to have

• Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks.
• Experience with QMS environments, precision rotating equipment, and high-speed machinery.
• Knowledge of design for manufacturing, design for assembly, machining, fabrication, welding, and advanced manufacturing processes.
• Previous supervisory or engineering management experience.
