Assistant Facilities Project Manager (HVACR)

Location: Fully onsite at the assigned facility in Sidney, Ohio, USA; not eligible for hybrid or remote work. Travel to other hirify.global sites as needed at 10–20%.

What you will do

• Support planning and execution of facility capital projects, renovations, and infrastructure improvements.
• Maintain project schedules, budgets, scopes of work, action items, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout documentation.
• Coordinate site access, shutdown windows, contractor activities, project meetings, site walks, safety briefings, commissioning, punch lists, and operational turnover.
• Assist with assessments and modifications involving HVAC, electrical, mechanical, utility, space-planning, and equipment-installation requirements.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants, and vendors, including bid reviews, scope clarifications, onboarding, progress monitoring, and work verification.
• Support cost estimating, invoice reconciliation, sustainability and energy-efficiency initiatives, compliance documentation, project reporting, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or a related technical field.
• 0–5 years of experience in project engineering, facilities, construction, manufacturing, or related environments; internships and co-ops count.
• Basic understanding of project management principles, including schedule, cost, and scope.
• Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, and follow-through skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in active industrial, manufacturing, and construction environments with a safety-focused approach.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Early-career experience in manufacturing, construction, or facilities engineering.
• Exposure to HVAC, mechanical systems, electrical systems, or industrial utilities.
• Familiarity with CAD drawings, blueprints, or technical documentation.
• Interest in sustainability, energy management, or facility optimization.
• Experience working with contractors or vendors.
