Assistant Service Project Manager (Modular Mechanical Systems): Supporting the management and completion of service projects from ready-to-ship turnover through client sign-off, with an accent on site coordination, materials, labor, commissioning, and customer requirements. Focus on allocating site resources, resolving BIM and shipping issues, coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, and maintaining safety and project reporting.

Location: Houston, TX (TAS-Cullen HQ); primarily site-based with travel to job sites as required

What you will do

  • Support senior service project managers in planning and overseeing service projects from ready-to-ship turnover through final client sign-off.
  • Review and coordinate scope-of-responsibility matrices with clients, site management teams, contractors, and project management staff.
  • Coordinate critical materials, shipping deviations, completion work, labor, and resource allocation throughout installation and precommissioning.
  • Attend site progress, pull-planning, and commissioning meetings and support scheduling of labor subcontractors.
  • Manage supplier scope, commercial, and schedule matters after shipment, as well as BIM issue closure with the site team.
  • Plan site issue remediation, support safety and training compliance, and maintain weekly site summary reports.

Requirements

  • Proven work history as a field engineer supporting mechanical or electrical equipment installation or maintenance.
  • Understanding of industrial mechanical or electrical equipment.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent modular equipment installation or service experience.
  • Trade school, military training, or other mechanical or electrical training may substitute for a degree.
  • Strong organization, multitasking, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to develop leadership and team management skills.
