Project Manager (Commercial Refrigeration)

Location: Onsite in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. Travel and work outside regular hours may be required.

What you will do

• Manage commercial onsite refrigeration projects for new stores and store remodels in coordination with the Installation Manager.
• Survey HVAC and refrigeration equipment, controls, operating costs, and customer facilities.
• Coordinate subcontractors, prepare RFQs and proposals, and review construction plans and specifications.
• Develop facility-related solutions and detailed cost estimates covering materials, equipment, labor, controls, mechanical, electrical, and subcontractor work.
• Plan schedules, project parameters, system installations, and field personnel activities while maintaining safety, quality, budget, and timelines.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and project risks, resolve scope deviations, and maintain the quote log.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years of relevant project management experience, or a high school diploma with 12+ years of relevant project management experience and/or training.
• Strong project management, leadership, business acumen, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage small and large crews of construction professionals and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of construction safety codes and federal, state, and county regulations.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, flexibility outside regular working hours, and willingness to travel as required.
