Project Manager (Mechanical Construction)

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day execution of assigned projects from preconstruction turnover through closeout.
• Supervise and develop Project Coordinators, Project Engineers, and Assistant Project Managers while partnering with field supervision.
• Manage budgets, schedules, cost controls, forecasts, work-in-progress reporting, backlog, cash position, profitability, and contract valuations.
• Oversee contracts, permitting, procurement, subcontract administration, billing, receivables, and change orders.
• Identify project risks, analyze variances, initiate corrective action, and maintain compliance with safety practices.
• Build productive relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or at least 10 years of progressive construction experience.
• Experience managing mechanical, plumbing, and/or sheet metal construction projects, including project financials and execution.
• Knowledge of construction accounting, work in progress, backlog, cost forecasting, profitability, contracts, risk, procurement, and subcontract administration.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, negotiation, conflict-management, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Project.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and MVR screening.
