Director, Strategy & Transformation

Location: Washington, DC, United States; on-site role

Salary: $203,900–$441,780 per year, depending on skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Lead hirify.global and client resources through strategy definition, future-state visioning, target operating model design, roadmap development, and transformation delivery.
• Help clients optimize finance organizations, standardize finance processes, develop operational metrics, and establish roles, structures, and governance mechanisms.
• Evaluate current operating models, identify gaps, and provide strategic recommendations aligned with industry standards and benchmarks.
• Manage multiple projects across analysis, design, build, testing, and deployment, including staffing, deadlines, documentation, and end-user expectations.
• Define requirements through interviews, workshops, document analysis, surveys, and site visits; coordinate stakeholders, vendors, and development teams.
• Support practice growth through go-to-market activities, delivery methodology standards, team development, and client relationship building.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 12 years of related experience; industry and consulting experience is highly preferred.
• Leadership experience in public sector, not-for-profit, and/or higher education environments.
• Extensive finance and accounting expertise, including experience optimizing and developing finance organizations.
• Experience managing senior-level client relationships, multiple stakeholders, and several projects or initiatives simultaneously.
• Experience with full-lifecycle application development and enterprise technology system implementation and management.
• Ability to travel as needed and work outside core business hours for client engagements.

Nice to have

• Project or program management certification such as PMP or PgMP.
• Agile certification such as PMI-ACP, CSM, PSM, or SAFe POPM.
