Focus on assisting with oncology care workflows, maintaining disinfection protocols, coordinating patient communications, and supporting efficient patient flow.
Location: San Antonio, Texas; onsite Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with travel to satellite clinics.

What you will do
- Escort patients and support efficient movement through examination and treatment areas.
- Record vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medication changes, and other patient data before visits.
- Assist physicians with examinations and procedures, including delegated subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
- Prepare, stock, and disinfect examination and treatment rooms; obtain records and order supplies.
- Handle patient calls, prescription requests, referrals, rescheduling, and no-show notifications.
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks such as chart preparation, filing, faxing, reception, and supervised order entry.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Entry-level candidates need 0–3 years of medical assistant or nursing assistant experience; higher levels require at least three or five years, respectively.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program and Certified Medical Assistant credentials are preferred; applicable state certifications may be required.
- Current BCLS certification is required within three months of hire; current CPR certification is required for the senior level.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, handle and lift patients, and occasionally carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to work in an oncology/hematology clinic environment with potential exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, radiation, and medical preparations.
