Focus on recording vital signs, administering delegated injections, maintaining disinfection protocols, coordinating patient calls and records, and supporting efficient daily clinic operations.

Location: Weatherford, Texas, with travel to Azle on Mondays and Wednesdays, primarily Weatherford and Granbury on other days, and occasional travel to Cleburne. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

What you will do

  • Escort patients and support patient flow between exam, physician, and treatment rooms.
  • Record vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medication changes, and other pre-visit data.
  • Prepare and stock exam and treatment rooms, obtain patient records, and order supplies.
  • Assist physicians with examinations and procedures, including delegated subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
  • Maintain room disinfection protocols and support oncology clinic safety standards.
  • Handle patient calls, prescription communications, scheduling updates, chart preparation, reception, filing, and order entry under provider supervision.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0–3 years of experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant for Level 1; Level 2 requires at least 3 years, and Senior Level requires at least 5 years in a hospital or clinic.
  • Medical Assistant program graduation and Certified Medical Assistant credentials are preferred; some state regulations may require specific certifications.
  • Current BCLS certification is required within 3 months of hire for Level 1; current CPR certification is required for Senior Level.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, handle and lift patients, and occasionally lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.

Nice to have

  • Phlebotomy experience.
  • Certified Medical Assistant credentials.
