Certified Medical Assistant Sr-San Antonio, Tx (Oncology)

Location: San Antonio, Texas, United States; onsite at the San Antonio location. Typical hours are Monday–Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., with a rotating late shift from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

What you will do

• Escort patients and collect vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medication changes, and other pre-visit data.
• Obtain patient records and prepare exam and treatment rooms and supplies.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures under supervision.
• Administer delegated subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
• Maintain room disinfection protocols and support efficient patient flow.
• Handle patient calls, prescription requests, scheduling updates, chart preparation, reception, filing, and other clinic administration.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant in a hospital or clinic setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from an accredited medical assistant program is preferred.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Current BCLS certification is required within three months of hire.
• Bilingual Spanish communication skills are requested.
• Strong communication, teamwork, time management, and openness to learning are required; the role involves standing and walking extensively and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds.

Nice to have

• Certified Medical Assistant certification.
• Phlebotomy experience.
