Focus on assisting with oncology visits, maintaining treatment-room safety and disinfection protocols, coordinating records and prescriptions, and supporting efficient patient flow.

What you will do

Assist physicians and clinicians with patient examinations, procedures, and day-to-day clinical care.
Escort patients, collect vital signs and other health information, and update medication and allergy records.
Prepare, stock, and disinfect examination and treatment rooms; order supplies as needed.
Administer delegated subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
Coordinate medical records, prescriptions, referrals, rescheduling, and patient telephone calls.
Complete clerical support tasks including scheduling, typing, filing, faxing, chart preparation, reception, and supervised order entry.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical Assistant or nursing assistant experience; level I requires 0–3 years, level II requires at least 3 years, and Senior requires at least 5 years in a hospital or clinic setting.
Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred; specific certification may be required by state regulations.
Senior-level candidates must hold a current BLS certification.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, handle and lift patients, and occasionally carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.

Nice to have

Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Phlebotomy experience.
