Active Directory Engineer (Microsoft)

Location: The Woodlands, Texas; travel to Fort Worth is required for at least the first 90 days for onboarding training

What you will do

• Architect, design, and implement Active Directory infrastructure solutions focused on efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Ensure security and controls compliance for Active Directory and Windows operating systems.
• Monitor and tune Active Directory and Windows performance, including connectivity, synchronization, replication, Netlogon, time services, FSMO roles, schema, NTDS partitions, DNS, certificates, and trust relationships.
• Provide operational guidance and act as a central escalation point for Microsoft server technologies, including Group Policy, AD Trusts, AD Sites and Services, Microsoft Identity Manager, PowerShell DSC, Puppet, DNS, DHCP, and DFS.
• Develop operational KPIs and metrics, and document system configurations and standard operating procedures.
• Provide after-hours support as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and work experience.
• Well-versed in PowerShell scripting and experienced with Active Directory and Microsoft operating system products.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, short deadlines, emergency situations, and changing requirements.
• Strong project management, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Flexibility to travel to Fort Worth for at least the first 90 days for onboarding training.

Nice to have

• Experience with Puppet.
• Broad experience across Active Directory administration and support.
• Understanding of network routing protocols.
