What you will do

• Lead the full lifecycle of Design Build projects from contract negotiation and preliminary design through final design, construction documentation, and completion.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary architectural, MEP, and structural design teams together with external consultants and the Design Build Contractor partner.
• Maintain accountability for project budget, schedule, scope, and quality.
• Support public outreach and act as the primary liaison with agencies, municipalities, utilities, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee shop drawing reviews, construction schedule monitoring, and change order plan development.
• Support RFP responses, client relationship development, staff mentorship, and studio leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture.
• Active California-licensed Professional Engineer or Registered Architect license.
• 15+ years of design experience, including projects led from conceptual design through construction within the past 10 years.
• Experience managing Design Build projects with fees of $5 million or more.
• Working knowledge of BIM, CAD, Bluebeam, and other industry-standard digital delivery tools.
• Experience with transportation, civic, or public-sector projects is required.
