Project Manager - Design Build

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States; full-time onsite role

Salary: $125,000–$175,000 annual salary

What you will do

• Manage construction projects through preconstruction, procurement, execution, close-out, and warranty follow-up.
• Estimate project costs, establish GMP or lump-sum budgets, and support estimating activities.
• Negotiate subcontractor and material purchases, prepare bid packages, and ensure timely buyout and delivery.
• Maintain schedules, cost control, reporting, quality control, and compliance with contract terms.
• Coordinate Owners, Architects, Superintendents, subcontractors, and project teams through regular meetings and clear communication.
• Develop safety procedures, supervise project staff, document significant events, and mitigate claims and conflicts.

Requirements

• Design-build experience is required.
• Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture degree, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of field construction management experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Leadership, problem-solving, organizational, communication, drafting, and computer skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Thorough understanding of scheduling, cost control, procurement, estimating, and other project management control systems.
