Surgical Laser Technician (Medical Equipment)

Location: Loves Park, Illinois, serving the Rockford District/COE and additional locations in Beloit, Madison, and Milwaukee

Pay range: $15.84–$24.21

What you will do

• Test, clean, and sterilize surgical equipment in the operating room before procedures.
• Remain present in the operating room during procedures and support equipment needs based on physician requirements.
• Remove, clean, disinfect, and sterilize equipment after procedures.
• Report equipment and vehicle defects or maintenance needs to relevant stakeholders.
• Transport equipment to ensure it is available at the required location and time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current, valid, unrestricted driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and push or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch, kneel, crawl, reach, and move repeatedly.
• Prior medical, EMT, surgical technology, or military experience is preferred.
