Field Application Engineer

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina, United States; candidates must reside in or relocate to the Raleigh or Charlotte, North Carolina area. Hybrid work arrangement.

What you will do

• Develop technical sales and account penetration strategies that generate design wins and business growth.
• Partner with customer and supplier engineering teams on product selection, design reviews, and technical strategies.
• Identify customer design requirements from the system level through individual components and develop complete solutions.
• Build relationships with technical decision-makers and influencers across assigned accounts.
• Track major design opportunities from concept through production and coordinate supplier resources.
• Create technical presentations and sales tools, deliver product-level training, and support internal sales teams.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of relevant experience, typically combined with a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Deep expertise in specialized products, services, markets, sales, and account management.
• Ability to understand customer needs, product lifecycles, competition, design processes, and total cost considerations.
• Experience leading complex sales opportunities, negotiations, and technical solutions for strategically important accounts.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience providing comparable knowledge and job skills.
• Must reside in or be able to relocate to the Raleigh or Charlotte, North Carolina area.
