Field Applications Engineer (AXI)

Location: Chandler, Arizona, USA; approximately 70% travel, including international travel to customers and regional offices.

What you will do

• Provide technical pre-sales support during equipment evaluations and customer discussions.
• Set up and program automated X-ray inspection systems at customer sites.
• Train customers and create materials that improve machine utilization.
• Prepare applications reports, technical publications, and applications notes.
• Diagnose customer issues and perform basic hardware and software troubleshooting during installations.
• Attend trade shows and industry events, gather market intelligence, and advise management.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in a similar technical role.
• Experience with electronics manufacturing equipment and a hands-on approach.
• Ability to work in laboratory and industrial environments.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and networking technologies.
• Willingness to travel approximately 70% domestically and internationally.

Nice to have

• Experience with automated optical inspection or automated X-ray inspection equipment.
• Knowledge of electronics assembly and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce or SAP C4C.
