Maintenance Tech (Welding)

Location: Vonore, Tennessee, United States; onsite at the Sea Ray Boats Tellico manufacturing facility. Typical schedule is four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with adjustments based on operational demand.

Salary: $23.07–$25.72 per hour, plus potential discretionary bonus or short-term incentive and eligibility for a long-term incentive award.

What you will do

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, rebuilding, and repair of production-related equipment.
• Support the welding shop schedule and complete equipment repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair air, resin, gel, machinery, electrical, and HVAC equipment.
• Track maintenance work through daily schedules and assignments while meeting quality and timeliness expectations.
• Work throughout the manufacturing facility, including at heights, on rooftops, ladders, lifts, and work platforms.
• Maintain safe, clean work areas and report hazards to the supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• Welding experience is required.
• High school diploma or GED is typically required.
• Three to five years of commercial or industrial facility maintenance experience is preferred, including machinery repair and electrical troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with the ability to read blueprints, schematics, measurement devices, and equipment gauges.
• Ability to use a wide range of powered and manual hand tools and obtain forklift and high-lift equipment certifications.
• Ability to meet physical and safety requirements, including lifting, bending, climbing, standing, working at heights, wearing PPE and respirators, and completing OSHA-related requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with CNC equipment.
• Experience with electrical motor controls and programming.
