Equipment Engineer (Industrial Automation)

Location: Shenzhen, China; onsite at Shenzhen Futian 1 Office

What you will do

• Design and develop machine software, workflow scheduling programs, and HMI interfaces for industrial equipment.
• Integrate and debug automation equipment connected to PLCs, robots, vision systems, and motion control systems.
• Develop equipment control, data acquisition, real-time monitoring, state machine, alarm, and operation log systems using C#, C++, and Python.
• Implement industrial communication protocols including Modbus, OPC UA, EtherCAT, and CAN bus.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers on component selection and functional verification, and resolve software bugs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Optimize equipment software stability and performance while supporting fault diagnosis and preventive maintenance on the production line.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, automation, electronic information, mechatronics, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in industrial equipment software integration.
• Proficiency in at least one of C#, C++, or Python, with experience using WinForms, WPF, or Qt for interface development.
• Complete project experience developing industrial upper-computer software and integrating industrial equipment.
• Strong problem analysis and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve software compatibility and operational stability issues.
• Must be able to work onsite in Shenzhen and accept onsite debugging at different project stages and short-term business trips.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering large-scale automation projects.
