Senior Electrical Computer Engineer (Industrial Automation)

What you will do

• Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of IT/OT integration architectures for manufacturing equipment and systems.
• Design scalable data management solutions connecting equipment, MES, and enterprise systems, including APIs, messaging protocols, and data models.
• Integrate vision systems and advanced sensing technologies into manufacturing data ecosystems while meeting cybersecurity and reliability standards.
• Lead the technical delivery of integration and automation projects across their full lifecycle in collaboration with manufacturing, IT, engineering, suppliers, and external partners.
• Analyze complex manufacturing and data integration issues, define mitigation strategies, and improve equipment performance, data accuracy, and system efficiency.
• Evaluate industrial data, cloud integration, connectivity, and smart manufacturing technologies while supporting standardization, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• Typically 5+ years of experience in industrial automation, IT/OT integration, or manufacturing data systems.
• Experience developing and implementing technical solutions in manufacturing environments and delivering project results.
• Good understanding of IT/OT integration, industrial communication, system architectures, and system integration technologies.
• Experience working cross-functionally and with external partners or suppliers.
• Ability to define and implement interfaces using APIs, messaging protocols, and data exchange frameworks.

Nice to have

• Programming knowledge in Java, C#, or an equivalent language.
• Knowledge of relational databases and data processing systems.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as mixing, assembly, curing, and finishing.
• Experience with MES, data historians, or manufacturing data platforms.
• Knowledge of networking technologies, industrial connectivity, and cybersecurity principles for industrial environments.
