Assistant Applied Mechanics Engineer (HVACR)

Location: Suzhou, China; onsite, full-time

A global climate technologies company developing HVACR, cold-chain, compression, controls, software, and monitoring solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

What you will do

• Execute mechanical, fatigue, and shaker tests for compressor components and systems.
• Set up test equipment, prepare specimens, and ensure accurate test execution and data collection.
• Design and develop test fixtures and laboratory tooling using 2D/3D CAD and NX.
• Support test planning, data analysis, engineering calculations, validation, and report generation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on product development and design validation.
• Improve laboratory capabilities, testing efficiency, data quality, test methods, standards, and databases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, applied mechanics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, compressors, or HVACR technology preferred.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD and NX for part drawings, test fixtures, and tooling.
• Strong hands-on problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Fluent English required for effective cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Python or LabVIEW.
