Design Project Manager (Rail)

What you will do

• Lead rail and transport infrastructure projects from planning through completion, taking accountability for scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality and commercial performance.
• Establish project execution plans, provide governance and assurance, and ensure delivery follows project controls and quality management systems.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across civil, structural, building services, environmental and specialist disciplines, including internal teams and external subconsultants.
• Manage project interfaces, stakeholder relationships and client expectations across the New South Wales rail and transport sector.
• Mentor project personnel and foster a collaborative, high-performing and safety-focused team culture.
• Support pursuit strategies, proposal preparation, business development and integrated client solutions.

Requirements

• Significant experience in project management and/or design management within the rail sector.
• Demonstrated success delivering complex infrastructure projects through design phases.
• Strong commercial acumen, including management of budgets, fees, schedules and risk.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing consultant interfaces.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and client relationship management capabilities.
• Well-developed communication, leadership and influencing skills.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
