Location: Houston, TX, USA; reports to a school site Monday-Friday with regular travel between campuses and regional offices.

What you will do

  • Develop, monitor, and submit IEPs, 504 plans, ARD paperwork, supplements, reports, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate ARD meetings, parent notifications, committee communications, transition plans, assessments, and related-service referrals.
  • Ensure compliance with IDEA, Texas special education law and regulations, Section 504, district requirements, and federal and state timelines.
  • Analyze ARD and 504 compliance data to identify needs, establish goals, and support school improvement.
  • Coach school-based special education managers and staff on MTSS, 504, special education, and compliance procedures.
  • Deliver professional development and collaborate with school leaders and the Director of ARD Facilitation to resolve TEA complaints and operational issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Special Education Certification.
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience focused on special education services.
  • Knowledge of 504 requirements, the 13 IDEA eligibility categories, ARD committee procedures, and special education law.
  • Successful background check, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between campuses.
  • Ability to work onsite at a school Monday-Friday and attend in-person conferences, meetings, and training within the region.
