Educational Consultant (EdTech)

Location: North Alabama, United States; not a remote position. Candidates must live within 30 miles of the posting area or be open to relocating to North Alabama. Considerable travel beyond the posting area is required, including up to 80% travel.

Salary: $35–$65 per hour, depending on the assigned work.

What you will do

• Facilitate professional development, product training, and support for teachers, coaches, and school administrators.
• Coordinate on-site training and adapt workshops to participant needs within defined parameters.
• Help educators implement Ready and i-Ready to improve classroom learning and equity.
• Provide tailored support with lesson planning, pacing, instructional data analysis, and implementation challenges.
• Participate in observation, feedback, coaching, and ongoing professional improvement.
• Document training activities, complete assignments on time, and maintain a professional customer-facing presence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience teaching, coaching teachers, and providing professional development.
• Experience teaching at the secondary level, grades 6–12, is preferred for serving educators and students.
• Strong knowledge of Common Core State Standards or comparable state standards for grades K–8.
• Fluency with digital tools and online assessments, plus the ability to discuss and apply data with educators and leaders.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and their application to professional development.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, interpersonal, organizational, time-management, computer, and internet skills; a valid driver’s license and own transportation are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with online meeting tools such as Zoom or WebEx.
• Experience teaching at the secondary level, grades 6–12.

• Professional development is usually delivered during normal school hours, with peak periods from August through October and January through February.
• Compensation is provided for professional development delivery, internal training, travel time, and travel expenses.
