Educational Consultant - Per Diem – Mongomery, AL

Location: Based in Montgomery, Alabama; candidates must live within 30 miles of the posting area or be open to relocating to the area. This is not a remote position. The role requires considerable travel, up to 80%, and personal transportation.

Salary: $35–$65 per hour, depending on the assigned work.

What you will do

• Facilitate on-site professional development, product training, and support for teachers, coaches, and school administrators.
• Become an expert in the Ready and i-Ready diagnostic and instruction programs for grades K–8.
• Provide tailored lesson-planning, pacing, implementation, and instructional support.
• Help educators analyze assessment data and apply findings to instruction.
• Identify implementation successes and challenges with school leaders.
• Complete internal coaching, observations, training notes, and assignments on time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience teaching, coaching teachers, and delivering professional development.
• Strong knowledge of Common Core State Standards for grades K–8 or comparable state standards.
• Fluency with digital tools and online assessments, with confidence discussing and applying data with educators and leaders.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and their application to professional development.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Valid driver’s license, own transportation, and availability for travel up to 80%, including overnight stays.

Nice to have

• Experience teaching at the secondary level, grades 6–12.
• Knowledge of online meeting platforms such as Zoom or Webex.
