Professional Learning Specialist (Math K-8)

Location: Primarily based in the Oakland, California area; candidates must live within 30 miles of the posting location or be willing to relocate. This is not a remote position. Travel up to 80% is required, including travel to other states, overnight stays, and transportation by car, plane, or public transportation.

What you will do

• Deliver targeted professional development and tailored classroom coaching to teachers, coaches, and school leaders.
• Support districts in selecting and implementing i-Ready Inform and Personalized Instruction and Classroom Mathematics California.
• Help educators analyze assessment data and apply findings to lesson planning, pacing, and instruction.
• Develop and revise annual professional learning plans and schedules with district and site leaders.
• Monitor and evaluate program implementations and ensure implementation integrity.
• Collaborate with sales teams, educators, students, districts, and other stakeholders while representing the company as a thought leader.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience teaching, coaching teachers, or providing professional development.
• Strong Mathematics facilitation background for grades K–8 and working knowledge of Common Core Mathematics or comparable state standards.
• Fluency with digital tools and online assessments, including confidence discussing and applying data with educators and leaders.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and their application to professional development.
• Ability to provide high-quality classroom coaching and manage, monitor, and evaluate program implementation.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the designated territory and nationally, with overnight stays as needed; a valid driver’s license is required.
