QC Microbiology Lab Support Technician (Sun - Wed)

Location: Rensselaer, New York, USA; on-site, full-time. Schedule: Sunday–Wednesday, 12:30 PM–11:00 PM, with on-call, overtime, and weekend rotation.

Salary: $17.50–$19.00 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Perform environmental monitoring of GMP manufacturing and process areas.
• Collect samples from high-purity water, clean steam, and compressed gas systems.
• Conduct routine utility testing and acceptance testing of commercially prepared microbiological culture media.
• Use LIMS to track samples, test results, and laboratory activities.
• Maintain laboratory supplies, microbiological media, and reagents, and support equipment maintenance, calibration, and laboratory readiness.
• Perform basic microbial identification, review data, and support team member training and onboarding.

Requirements

• Associate degree in biology, microbiology, biotechnology, chemistry, life sciences, or a related laboratory science field.
• Hands-on laboratory experience; pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of microbial identification procedures and the ability to maintain accurate records and follow established procedures.
• Strong computer, scientific, organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, learn new techniques, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to operational needs.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.

• Environmental monitoring experience.
• Knowledge of cGMP requirements.
• Experience with LIMS.
