Environmental Monitoring Technician

Location: Cary, NC, USA; candidates must live within a commutable distance. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with potential overtime or flexed hours.

What you will do

• Collect environmental monitoring and utilities monitoring samples at client facilities.
• Transport samples, supplies, and equipment between the laboratory and client sites.
• Perform laboratory analyses including bioburden, endotoxin, total organic carbon, conductivity, and pH testing.
• Visually inspect agar plates for microbial growth.
• Enter data into LIMS or controlled forms following good documentation practices.

Requirements

• Associate degree in microbiology or a relevant subject, or a high school diploma with previous GMP environmental monitoring or microbiology experience.
• Strong aseptic technique and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
• Ability to stand for more than four hours at a time and lift or move 20 pounds.
• Proactive, self-starting approach with problem-solving and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work on-site within a commutable distance of Cary, North Carolina.
