Staff Engineer - PLC / Electrical Engineer

Location: Shenzhen, China; onsite at Shenzhen Futian 1 Office

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Siemens PLC software for sequence control, interlocks, recipe management, alarms, and process automation.
• Design electrical schematics, I/O architectures, control cabinets, wiring diagrams, and low-voltage power distribution systems.
• Integrate and commission vacuum gauges, turbomolecular pumps, RF power supplies, servo systems, temperature controllers, and related subsystems.
• Support equipment startup, troubleshooting, process optimization, and sustaining engineering to improve uptime and reliability.
• Prepare control specifications, electrical BOMs, wiring manuals, operating procedures, and other engineering documentation.
• Collaborate with mechanical, process, manufacturing, supplier, and global production teams across Shenzhen, Penang, and other sites.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience with semiconductor, vacuum coating, or precision automation equipment.
• Expertise in Siemens PLC programming, including S7-300, S7-400, and S7-1500.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical for schematics, I/O design, cabinet layouts, and wiring documentation.
• Experience with industrial automation, motion control, fieldbus communication, electrical safety, and low-voltage power distribution.
• Professional English is required for technical documentation, engineering meetings, and collaboration with global teams and suppliers.
