Senior Control Engineer (Power Electronics)

What you will do

• Lead the development and qualification of electronics and variable frequency drive products, including system controllers.
• Develop product specifications, test specifications, reliability plans, schedules, performance targets, and cost references.
• Review designs and test results, define validation strategies, and ensure product quality and compliance.
• Coordinate internal and external engineering teams and ODM suppliers through product development and launch.
• Design and improve hardware solutions, including schematics, PCB layouts, EMC design, manufacturing, and testing.
• Troubleshoot EMC issues, analyze customer field returns, perform worst-case and power-stress calculations, and prepare qualification documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience, or a master’s degree with 6 years of experience, in electrical engineering, electronics, power electronics, or a related field.
• Strong technical depth in electronics products with embedded microcontrollers and EMI/EMC mitigation techniques.
• Experience with PCB design and EDA software such as Cadence and PSpice.
• Good understanding of IEC/UL 61800 and IEC/UL 60335/60730 standards.
• Strong cross-functional project management, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills in a global environment.
• Good oral and written English communication skills required.

Nice to have

• Experience in HVACR applications and electronics or power-electronics new product development.
• Experience with general-purpose inverter design, different topologies, and power-circuit thermal management.
