Customer Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Chongqing or Suzhou, China; onsite customer work with 75% travel

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment alongside senior field service engineers.
• Use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Coordinate directly with customers to support smooth equipment operation and service delivery.
• Work onsite in cleanroom environments and follow safety, environmental, and personal protective equipment requirements.

Requirements

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
• 1–2 years of customer service, field service, or related technical experience; 2–4 years is preferred.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics and diagnose basic technical problems.
• Basic mechanical aptitude in areas such as pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics.
• Familiarity with hand tools and digital multimeters, plus basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to obtain a passport if travel is required, and ability to meet onsite safety requirements.
