Maintenance Technician (Electrical)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. Onsite, full-time day shift from 5:45 AM to 6:15 PM.

Salary: $31.30–$35.15 per hour. Additional $5,000 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair snack food production equipment and facility systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, equipment rebuilds, installations, and special projects.
• Diagnose equipment failures using root cause analysis, breakdown failure analysis, cause maps, and predictive technologies such as ultrasound, thermal imaging, oil analysis, and vibration analysis.
• Interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, pneumatics, hydraulics, P&IDs, and single-line electrical drawings.
• Document planned and unplanned maintenance findings in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Support safety, GMP, autonomous maintenance, utility-system reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of industrial manufacturing experience performing mechanical and/or electrical inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• Ability to pass the plant-specific maintenance test.
• Mechanical ability, attention to detail, multitasking skills, and sound decision-making under pressure.
• Ability to use computers and CMMS for maintenance documentation and technical reference materials.
• Valid driver's license; forklift and aerial-lift certification or ability to obtain certification.

Nice to have

• Some college or formal technical school education.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and welding techniques.
• Two years of food manufacturing experience.
• Mechanical or electrical certifications or licenses.
