Remote Regional Healthcare Finance Director (Surgical Practices)

Location: Remote; must currently reside in Texas. Up to 25% travel for key meetings.

What you will do

• Lead monthly regional financial reporting, analytics, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Advise physicians, practice leaders, and senior leadership on financial performance and strategic initiatives.
• Develop KPI methodologies, decision-support tools, and performance tracking frameworks.
• Oversee capital planning, expense approvals, financial reconciliations, internal controls, and operating efficiency analysis.
• Support growth initiatives, physician recruitment projections, product-line analysis, and acquisition activity.
• Lead, coach, and develop a geographically dispersed team of finance professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 7 years in financial analysis, valuations, controllership, or similar roles.
• 4+ years of people management experience.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders and physicians in complex, multi-site environments.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, communication, presentation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; interest in using automation and AI for process improvement.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree, MBA, and/or CPA.
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare services.
• Experience in oncology, hospital administration, outpatient surgery, renal care, or multi-specialty practices.
• Experience supporting surgical specialties, surgical practices, or procedural service lines.
