Project Manager - ISD (Construction)

Location: South Flower Street, Los Angeles, California; full-time onsite role

Compensation: $143,435.23–$163,925.98 per year

What you will do

• Manage deferred maintenance and client-funded renovation, refurbishment, and repair projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Develop project plans, manage vendors, monitor field execution, and maintain stakeholder coordination.
• Prepare scopes of work, requests for proposals, contracts, and work orders; review contractor proposals and process work order packages.
• Manage project budgets, support funding requests, and maintain project- or program-level schedules.
• Provide weekly status reports to ISD leadership and County stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits and project reviews, provide technical guidance, and ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and County standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 15 years of experience in the construction industry.
• At least five years within the last 10 years providing construction project management services for governmental entities.
• Experience supporting Probation Department projects, including juvenile halls and Secure Youth Treatment Facilities, with compliance with BSCC requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with cloud-based construction management software.
• Strong communication and team management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, intense environment.

Nice to have

• Five to ten years of experience with Job Order Contracting, IDIQ, or similar delivery methods.
• Experience with tenant improvements, renovations, occupied-space projects, or facilities modernization.
• Experience administering public-sector construction projects and procurement processes.
• CCM, PMP, DBIA, or a similar professional certification.
• Familiarity with Gordian, eBuilder, or other JOC management systems.
