Payroll Systems Analyst (Workday)

Location: Hybrid role based at the company headquarters in Denver, Colorado, with regular in-person collaboration; support extends to locations across the U.S. and Canada.

Salary: $58,000–$81,000 per year in the Denver area.

What you will do

• Support day-to-day payroll operations across Workday, Workday Time Tracking, and TeamDynamix/Freshservice.
• Support biweekly payroll processing, including post-settlement completion, payroll reporting, runbook updates, and mass data uploads through Enterprise Interface Builders.
• Configure payroll modules, monitor production integrations, manage functional support tickets, and troubleshoot end-user issues with HRIS and vendor consultants.
• Develop and modify payroll reports, analytics, metrics, and dashboards for payroll management and Workday users.
• Coordinate timekeeping across resorts and corporate employees, resolve time-entry errors, train local timekeepers, and support seasonal workforce ramp-up and ramp-down.
• Test Workday releases and system enhancements, update procedures and checklists, and provide information for payroll, tax, and audit activities.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional payroll experience and at least 2 years supporting Workday or other payroll applications.
• Experience with payroll or HR implementations and multi-state, multi-entity payroll environments.
• Strong knowledge of payroll withholding taxes, payroll laws, payroll processes, and business analysis practices.
• Experience gathering requirements, defining and executing test plans, documenting solutions, and supporting system upgrades.
• Knowledge of finance general ledger and accounting principles, strong research and analytical skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience; payroll or IT certification is also considered.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workday and ADP Smart Compliance.
• Advanced Excel and Word knowledge.
• CPP payroll certification.
