Payroll Analyst I - General Ledgers - REMOTE

Location: USA - Remote

Salary: $56,400–$77,550 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Produce, review, and audit payroll entries for unionized employees covered by more than 175 collective bargaining agreements.
• Interpret collective bargaining agreement ratifications and apply them to payroll calculations and employee payments.
• Calculate and report union health and welfare, pension, 401(k), and dues contributions.
• Audit retroactive calculations, union deductions, benefit premiums, FLSA regular-rate and overtime premiums, and other payroll transactions.
• Process special payments such as vacation buybacks, boot allowances, safety payments, and union bonuses.
• Prepare payroll reports, support general ledger and account reconciliations, collaborate with HR and payroll teams, and assist with payroll system testing and configuration.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in payroll, finance, or a related field.
• Experience processing payroll for large companies with 10,000 or more employees and handling multiple union payrolls.
• Experience with multi-state payroll processing and payroll applications such as ADP, Lawson, Ceridian, or Kronos.
• Experience with Workday or a similar HCM system.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Basic knowledge of FLSA regular-rate calculations; Certified Payroll Professional certification is preferred.
