Oncology Infusion Float RN (Oncology)

Location: Columbia, Maryland, United States; nursing coverage may be provided at satellite offices across Maryland and DC

Salary: $33.21–$50.00 per hour

What you will do

• Provide professional nursing care and coordinate continuity of care for oncology and hematology patients.
• Assess patient health status, review clinical data, document interventions, and report findings to providers.
• Prepare and administer medications, blood products, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy under physician supervision.
• Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, maintain central lines, and manage infusion treatment documentation.
• Program portable ambulatory infusion pumps and instruct patients or caregivers on home use and maintenance.
• Support clinical operations, patient triage, referrals, appointments, physician procedures, and satellite-office coverage.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license and registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support certification and ongoing continuing education.
• Three to five years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology preferred.
• Knowledge of ambulatory infusion pump use, maintenance, cleaning, and documentation.
• Ability to handle the physical demands of the role, including prolonged standing and walking and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
