Experienced Catastrophe Claims Representative

Location: Lansing, Michigan; multiple positions are available across the 26 states of operation. The role requires frequent travel for up to 21 days at a time, often out of state, and short-notice deployment to catastrophe locations. Applicants must be able to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

What you will do

• Investigate catastrophe claims and assemble relevant facts.
• Determine policy coverage by reviewing policies, endorsements, and forms.
• Evaluate loss amounts, analyze legal liability, and approve or deny claims.
• Work toward claim resolution, including participation in arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials when needed.
• Ensure claim payments are issued accurately and on time.
• Travel to catastrophe locations and meet the physical demands of field work, including carrying equipment and climbing ladders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of claims-handling or comparable experience.
• Field claims experience with multiline property and casualty claims, including wind and hail.
• Proficiency with Xactimate software.
• Strong written and verbal communication, complex issue resolution, data interpretation, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to manage multiple assignments.
