Assistant Resident Engineer (Roadway Transportation)

Salary: $88,800–$133,200 annually

What you will do

• Inspect roadway construction and verify contractor work against contract documents, plans, specifications, and standards.
• Enforce construction safety rules and regulations and monitor traffic control.
• Oversee construction of wet and dry utilities and assist with inspections of large concrete pours.
• Complete daily inspection reports and prepare written project reports.
• Document pay quantities, monthly progress payments, final estimates, and change order work.
• Track material inspections, certifications, acceptance, and overall project compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Engineer in Training certification.
• 7+ years of relevant highway and construction experience.
• Ability to resolve project issues effectively and efficiently.

• Demonstrated collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer license in the State of California.
