Senior Roadway Engineer

Location: Onsite in Franklin or Chattanooga, Tennessee

Salary: $132,708.77–$151,667.16 per year

What you will do

• Manage project delivery and provide professional roadway design services for municipal agencies, local governments, and TDOT.
• Lead senior-level design and quality control for roadway geometry, drainage, work zone traffic control, pavement markings, and signing.
• Coordinate design development, technical direction, schedules, staffing, budgets, risks, deliverables, invoices, and related project records.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, engineers from other disciplines, marketing, and business development teams.
• Lead internal and client project meetings and contribute to specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
• Mentor supporting civil design staff and participate in client development and industry activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10 or more years of related experience.
• Professional Engineer licensure in Tennessee or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.
• Experience designing highways, intersections, roundabouts, interchanges, widenings, and bicycle/pedestrian facilities.
• Experience or familiarity with OpenRoads Design and/or Geopak.
• Strong interpersonal skills for client communication and multidisciplinary engineering collaboration.

• TDOT design experience.
