Engineer Surveyor

Location: 151B Waterloo Road, Hornby, Christchurch 8042, New Zealand; full-time onsite role servicing clients throughout the Christchurch region

What you will do

• Conduct statutory and non-statutory inspections of pressure equipment, piping systems, boilers, cranes, and lifting equipment.
• Assess asset integrity and compliance with New Zealand regulations, standards, and hirify.global quality requirements.
• Prepare technical inspection reports and certification recommendations.
• Build customer relationships and support new business opportunities.
• Review and authorise trainee reports when appropriately qualified.
• Support inspector training, mentoring, continuous improvement, and quality management initiatives.

Requirements

• Diploma, bachelor's degree, or higher qualification in an engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• At least five years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, process, petrochemical, energy, or heavy engineering environments.
• Experience with pressure vessels, piping systems, boilers, industrial plant inspections, piping integrity, or asset management programmes.
• Strong knowledge of applicable New Zealand regulations, standards, and inspection practices.
• Excellent technical report writing, communication, independent judgement, and customer-facing skills.
• Current New Zealand driver's licence; CBIP qualifications in Pressure Equipment and/or Cranes are highly recommended.
