Electrical Services Manager (Industrial Electrical)

Location: Auckland, New Zealand; travel to client and project sites may be required.

Salary: NZD 160,000–180,000 per annum, including full use of a motor vehicle.

What you will do

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the electrical services division, including trades staff, supervisors, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Manage industrial electrical projects from tendering and pricing through delivery, commissioning, and final handover.
• Monitor revenue, margins, labour, materials, cash flow, and project forecasts for an operation targeting approximately NZD 600,000 in monthly revenue at a 15% margin.
• Develop existing client relationships and identify new sales and business development opportunities.
• Drive performance across health and safety, quality, operational efficiency, and staff development.

Requirements

• Significant experience in industrial electrical services, contracting, or project delivery.
• Experience as an Electrical Services Manager, Operations Manager, Contracts Manager, or senior project leader.
• Recognised electrical trade qualification and current New Zealand electrical registration.
• Strong commercial experience in estimating, tendering, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and margin management.
• Experience leading electricians, supervisors, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical installation, maintenance, commissioning, and health and safety requirements in high-risk environments.

• Demonstrated success in developing client relationships and generating new business.
• Experience with high-voltage or low-voltage industrial electrical projects.
