Technical Lead (AI)

Location: Melville, New York, United States; hybrid schedule with in-office days on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and remote work on Wednesday and Friday

Compensation: $170,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead software projects from inception through deployment, including technical specification, development, integration, testing, and release.
• Guide platform architecture and build scalable, intelligent, and autonomous systems.
• Design and develop AI-driven applications using agent frameworks, with attention to performance, safety, and interoperability.
• Build proof-of-concept AI agent workflows, APIs, and interfaces, and evaluate emerging agent technologies.
• Identify technical challenges, improve performance, refactor code, and maintain reliable and secure software systems.
• Collaborate with multiple teams, mentor developers, and contribute to architectural roadmaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of production coding experience, preferably with C#, server-side Java, or other object-oriented languages.
• Expertise in service-oriented architecture, microservices, distributed systems, advanced database schemas, and highly scalable web services.
• Hands-on experience building RESTful web services and using SQL, Hibernate, and relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Redis, MongoDB, or DynamoDB, plus automated testing frameworks and TDD.
• Extensive experience with Agile methodologies including Kanban, Scrum, or SAFe.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Agent OS, Cursor, or similar frameworks.
