Tech Lead (AI)

Location: Fully remote within the United States; location listed as Los Angeles, CA

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 annual base salary plus variable compensation

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership and direction for the engineering team while guiding project delivery.
• Determine project requirements, create work schedules, delegate tasks, and track daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
• Coordinate with developers, management, and clients to deliver projects to the required standard.
• Identify project risks, create contingency plans, troubleshoot issues, and update schedules.
• Mentor and motivate developers, support open communication, and organize training sessions and improvement meetings.
• Champion responsible adoption of AI-assisted development tools and share emerging AI practices with the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in a similar technical leadership role and strong technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build professional relationships with staff and clients.
• Working knowledge of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and ChatGPT, with experience applying them responsibly in software development.
• Growth mindset and commitment to self-directed learning, particularly regarding emerging AI technologies and capabilities.
