TL;DR
Clinic RN Sr-Irving, TX (Oncology) (oncology nursing): Providing professional nursing care, patient assessment, education, triage, medication coordination, and appointment scheduling in a medical oncology clinic with an accent on continuity of care, psychosocial support, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Focus on coordinating complex patient services, supporting oncology clinic operations, and acting as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.

Location: Joe Battle, El Paso, Texas; full-time onsite schedule, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm. No weekends, call, or major holidays.

What you will do

  • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of patient care according to professional and oncology standards.
  • Assess patients’ health status, medical history, and psychosocial needs.
  • Provide patient and family education, instructional materials, and psychosocial support.
  • Coordinate consultations, diagnostic tests, referrals, procedures, and future appointments.
  • Manage medication refill requests, triage patient calls, and document information in patient charts.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, connect patients with community resources, and support LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • At least one year of nursing experience.
  • Current RN license from the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Ability to work onsite in the El Paso, Texas clinic during the stated Monday–Friday schedule.
  • Ability to work in an oncology/hematology clinic environment with potential exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and medical preparations.
