Claims Representative

Location: Tallahassee, FL, United States. Initial training is conducted in person, followed by possible work-from-home time based on job responsibilities and leadership approval. Must be able to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

What you will do

• Investigate, evaluate, and settle entry-level insurance claims under close supervision.
• Handle claims throughout their lifecycle and ensure accurate, timely resolution.
• Review insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to build product knowledge.
• Communicate with agents, insureds, claimants, legal counsel, and third parties.
• Develop negotiation, settlement, estimating, and loss-adjustment skills using designated computer programs.
• Complete the company’s claims training program and obtain and maintain adjuster licenses where legally required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent direct experience handling property and casualty claims.
• Ability to organize data, multitask, make independent decisions, and resolve complex issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report and correspondence writing.
• Ability to handle confidential information, maintain data security, and work effectively with diverse individuals.
• Ability to accurately work with mathematical problems, geometry, sums, unit costs, and personal or business finance documents.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to drive an automobile, and a driving record consistent with company underwriting guidelines.
