Elementary Math Lead Teacher

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA; full-time onsite role

Salary: $56,500–$79,000+ for uncertified teachers or $60,000–$85,000+ for certified teachers, depending on experience and certification status.

What you will do

• Create rigorous, engaging unit and daily math lesson plans using provided curricula and resources.
• Build an affirming, inclusive, safe, organized, and academically challenging classroom environment.
• Analyze student work and academic data to adjust instruction and refine curriculum.
• Provide accommodations and modifications, maintain accurate student records, and communicate student progress to families.
• Collaborate with grade-level colleagues, participate in professional development, and contribute to school-wide initiatives and events.
• Support school operations through family engagement, home visits, student supervision duties, and field trips.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of full-time teaching experience; experience in an urban setting is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Pennsylvania State certification Level I or II strongly preferred.
• Uncertified teachers must enroll in a Pennsylvania-approved certification program within one year of hire and submit transcripts for an emergency permit application.
• Completion of Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Child Abuse, and Cogent Federal Fingerprinting clearances is required before the start date.
• Strong classroom management, student growth, collaboration, cultural competence, and inclusive teaching skills.
