What you will do

  • Administer, configure, monitor, provision, patch, upgrade, harden, and tune Linux servers across development, test, and production environments.
  • Maintain reliable, secure, and highly available infrastructure supporting Element 1 launch operations, ground systems, integration labs, and operational testing.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, authentication methods, access controls, monitoring, logs, backups, virtualization, storage, and server environments.
  • Troubleshoot operating-system, performance, infrastructure, and operational incidents in collaboration with software, network, cybersecurity, mission operations, and IT teams.
  • Support critical testing and launch windows, system audits, compliance activities, cybersecurity remediation, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Create technical documentation and standard operating procedures while contributing to infrastructure automation and reliability improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, computer engineering, cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline, plus 2+ years of Linux systems administration experience.
  • Knowledge of Linux administration, enterprise infrastructure support, networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewalls.
  • Experience troubleshooting Linux operating-system and server issues, with familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and system hardening.
  • Ability to support high-availability operational environments, respond during time-sensitive activities, and communicate technical information across cross-functional teams.
  • Must meet U.S. Government space technology export-control eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain required authorizations.
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and occasionally lift and transport IT equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, mission operations, or other highly regulated operational environments.
