Systems Administrator II

Location: Buckley Space Force Station, Aurora, Colorado, USA; onsite

Salary: $70,000–$75,000 per year

What you will do

• Administer, monitor, and maintain computer systems and networks for high availability and performance.
• Perform system backups, restores, patch management, and user administration.
• Implement cybersecurity policies and support compliance with mission requirements.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and complex system issues.
• Monitor and tune system performance and assist with upgrades and patches.
• Maintain configuration documentation and collaborate with support personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience may substitute.
• 2–6 years of experience in systems administration or a similar role.
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with VMware or Hyper-V virtualization and network infrastructure using TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Knowledge of DoD security practices, DISA STIGs, and RMF.
• Active Secret Clearance required; interim clearance is acceptable. CompTIA Security+ or an IAT Level II certification or higher is required, along with the ability to lift 50 lbs.
