Systems Administrator (Windows)

Location: Dahlgren, Virginia, United States; onsite support for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division

Salary: $100,000–$110,700 per year

What you will do

• Manage, maintain, and secure enterprise networks and software systems supporting NSWCDD.
• Install and configure hardware, operating systems, and commercial off-the-shelf software.
• Perform system administration across diverse operating environments, including performance tuning and resource allocation.
• Support network security operations, including firewall management and vulnerability analysis.
• Develop system specifications and assist with procurement-related market research.
• Travel less than 10% as required.

Requirements

• At least three years of professional Windows systems administration experience involving networks and software systems.
• Experience with backup and recovery, software management, security and library management, hardware and operating system configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Experience maintaining proficiency with major network security tools, including firewalls.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and computing and networking vulnerabilities, including current detection methods.
• Top Secret clearance and IAT II designation with a T5 investigation are required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
• CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, or CCNA certification.
