Loan Originator - East Region (Mortgage)

Location: Highland Park, Illinois, United States

Compensation: $15.00 per hour minimum, plus eligibility for monthly commissions.

What you will do

• Generate referral business, leads, and relationships with borrowers, clients, and real estate professionals.
• Complete and analyze mortgage applications and prequalify applicants for suitable loan programs.
• Pull and review credit reports for accuracy against borrower statements.
• Explain the risks, benefits, and terms of qualifying mortgage products and ensure required documents are signed.
• Submit loan packages to processors and coordinate additional documentation required by underwriting to clear conditions and close loans.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of mortgage banking experience.
• Must meet all NMLS requirements.
• Superior interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication, and telephone etiquette skills.
• Self-starter with strong motivation, energy, and time-management skills.
